Yeah, it’s
true that we all want to look lean & fit to look more attractive but its
not that easy. We all want to lose weight for many different reasons. Overweight
can be a big concern for your health. Obesity is also a big problem which arises
due to overweight which can lead to many health problems like diabetes,
non-alcoholic fatty liver and even cancer. There are endless diets &
supplements in the market which claim to reduce weight but they are not scientifically
proven and can be injurious to your health. Well to lose weight you need to have
a perfect strategy which suits you and your body. Go green, go natural.
1. Change your Eating habits
In today’s
world we are all engaged in wrong eating habits like eating a lot of junk foods
pizzas, burgers which is one of the biggest reason of getting overweight. You
need to have a protein rich meal not a fat rich meal. Protein is very essential
for proper functioning of the body and muscle building. Skip all the fatty
meals from your diet plan. Eat low fat
dairy products, they are a great source of protein like cheese and no-fat
yoghurt.
2. Focus on vegetables & Fruits
Fruits and
vegetables are a great source of vitamins, minerals and many other nutrients.
Fruits are full of natural sugars which help in satisfying your sweet tooth. On
the other hand fresh green vegetables help in increasing your metabolism rate
which in turn helps you in loosing weight. Fruits and vegies are full of fiber
which is really good for your gut health. One should everyday eat a plate full
of salad and a few ounces of salmon or almonds also. One of the best tip is to
eat what is in season.
3. Have a diet full of Whole grains
Whole
grains are an excellent source of energy and nutrition. Some of the best sources
of whole grains are whole wheat bread, oatmeal’s, sweet potatoes and brown rice.
But you should cut the simple carbs in between. Simple carbs are things like
white bread, processed flour and white sugar. These sources give you energy
instantly but they turn into fat very quickly. Avoid processed foods, processed
carbohydrates and processed sugars like candies, chocolate bars or white bread.
4. Decrease the salt intake
When you
add more salt in your everyday diet, it causes your body to retain more water.
You may start feeling bloated and gain weight. So in simple words you need to
cut sodium in your diet. Now don’t get depressed. I known ya all spicy lovers.
Instead of adding salt try spicing your favorite meals with chilly flakes or seasonings.
Give your taste buds some time to re-acclimate to the new taste.
5. Don’t skip meals
Lots of
people all around the world think that skipping meals will help them a lot in losing
weight. But this is not true. Instead slowly and slowly you will start getting
weak and not lose any weight. Instead you should always eat your meals on time.
You should have at least 3 meals a day. You should always eat snacks between
your meals. They will help you in keeping your metabolism burning. But avoid
fatty snacks like sweets or chips.
6. Drink healthy drinks
Include
healthy drinks in your everyday diet cause they will help boost your metabolism
rate to the next level. Some of the most healthy drinks in my list are
smoothies, turmeric lattes, herbal teas, green tea, pomegranate juice, lemon
water, coconut water and many more.
7. Add more steps to your everyday
routine
You must
have heard it before that you should walk at least 10,000 steps a day. That’s
right. Don’t just sit at a place, all day long doing your work or whatever. Get
up. Be active, walk while you are talking on the phone or get your dog outside for
a walk. Track your steps at the end of the day and try to improve yourself.
